ANVA owner and instructor, Allison Collins-Elfline

A native of Moline, IL, Ms. Collins-Elfline has an extensive background in many styles of vocal music. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Music degree from Clarke College in Dubuque, Iowa. After graduating, Allison moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, where she maintained a successful full vocal studio of over 40 students during the four years she lived there. While in Cincinnati, Allison graced the stage in many semi-professional and professional musical theatre productions, including Side Show, Chess and Putting it Together, and studied under Patricia Linhart, musical theatre vocal instructor at University of Cincinnati-College Conservatory of Music. In August 2006, Allison and her husband moved to Eureka, California, where she taught lessons at the Humboldt Music Academy. Allison is happy to be back in the Midwest, teaching voice lessons to the Quad City community. Allison is also a licensed Kindermusik educator, and teaches classes locally.   In addition to teaching, Allison just formed and is Artistic Director of the Riverbend Theatre Collective. Allison is a recognized member of National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS).  She has been teaching voice for 10 years.

She lives with her husband, Dr. Robert Elfline, Assistant Professor of Piano at Augustana College, and her dogs Maddy and Ike.
